SERVERDOCK / PRODUCT GUIDE

Manage local and remote files side by side.

ServerDock combines a dual-pane SFTP file workspace with your server connections and monitoring. Keep local Windows files beside the remote Linux directory so common transfer and maintenance tasks stay in one application.

Browse the Linux root directory

The remote workspace starts at /, the root directory, subject to your SSH account’s permissions. Browse folders or enter a path directly to reach the directory you need. An account restricted to a particular directory cannot gain wider access through the file manager.

Transfer and organize your files

Upload local files, download remote files, create folders, rename entries and remove items you no longer need. Operations use SFTP through the selected server connection. Check the active host and destination path before transferring or removing anything, especially when several servers have similar folder structures.

Edit supported text files with care

Use the supported text editing workflow for configuration or script files and verify the remote path before saving. Saving an edited file changes its contents on the server; deleting or overwriting a file can affect your application. Keep a backup of important configurations and review permissions before a change.

Combine SFTP with monitoring and SSH

Use monitoring to identify a host to inspect, open its SFTP workspace for files and return to SSH for line-based checks. File browsing alone does not execute a script. Uploading a script and running it are separate operations; review the script and the server targets before execution.
